Assistant Pastor Bruce Otto

Bruce is the former pastor of New Song Church (PCA) in Gretna and will be an assistant pastor at Grace over the next year. Thank you for the warm welcome of him, his wife Courtney, and their children Maggie, Caroline, and Charlie. Maggie is an art education teacher in the Chicago area. Caroline will be a senior in the fall at Covenant College. Charlie will also be a senior at Gretna High School. Bruce was raised on a farm in central Illinois (Courtney in Peoria, IL) and graduated from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis. Upon graduation, he worked for several years on staff at the seminary and then for 6 years as pastor of a church in northwest Illinois. The Ottos arrived in Gretna in December 2019. Bruce enjoys music, reading, movies (especially documentaries), and watching the St. Louis Cardinals with Charlie (sorry Cub fans!). Courtney has a green thumb and enjoys working outside, being a part of school and community events (especially show choir!), and teaching piano lessons. While without a placement now, Bruce and Courtney have also been foster parents for the past several years.
